Why we exist
Most appliance “reviews” online are rewritten spec sheets from the US or Europe. They ignore what actually decides whether an appliance survives in an Indian home: hard water, voltage fluctuation and the need for a stabiliser, monsoon humidity, long power cuts, dust, and — above all — whether there is a service centre within reach when something breaks.
How we evaluate
- India-first testing criteria. Hard-water tolerance, stabiliser requirements, and performance during voltage dips.
- Running cost, not just sticker price. BEE star ratings, real electricity draw, and consumable costs such as filters.
- Service reality. Warranty terms as actually honoured in India, and service-centre coverage beyond the metros.
- Safety certification. ISI marking and relevant BIS standards.
- Honest exclusions. If a popular product is bad value, we say so.
